To be a Sparrow or to be a Finch

I couldn't tell if this is a sparrow or a finch. Google wasn't any help in distinguishing them either. Anyway, this is a small bird that was very quick and hard to photograph. It doesn't like to stay in any one place for very long.

    If I remembered my evolution classes better I could help you. The beak does look finch-ish, I'm leaning toward that hypothesis.
