  1. that is an amazing fireworks shot. Did you hire the model in the foreground?

  2. Did you clean up the smoke in photoshop or just position yourself so it didnt show up as much?

  3. I was bored of the firework photos that I got, they were only launching one or two at a time, so I improvised in Photoshop and made my own finale.
The people who live in the house in back of us like to get up on their roof, so I took a photo of them the other day. There were two girls in the photo originally, but I thought that the second girl crowded the photo so I took her out and just added the first girl to the fireworks pix.
This was quite simple to make. The fireworks on top of each other in layers are set to screen blend mode. I didn't have to cut those out. Because of the black background only the light comes through with the blend mode set to screen. Cutting out the girl took the longest to do.
I guess if I fooled you that means something... Doesn't it?

  4. What were the camera specs you used to get the fireworks?

  5. f8 for 5 seconds ISO 100. I would wait 'till I heard it go up, then I would take the photo. It worked out most of the time. I got tired of pushing the button, so instead I locked the shutter button down with my intervalometer (insert Google search here if you don't know what that is) and set the camera to take continuous photos.
