It was very dark. These trees were lit by the moon and a small street light over 300 ft. away.
I had the 40D at ISO1600 and a 30 second shutter speed. It's amazing to me that the other pictures that I took (further down the blog) with the P & S camera were over a min and still nowhere near the brightness or clarity. I guess it's like comparing a bus with a Ferrari, they just aren't meant to do the same thing.
