Jordan Conservation Garden

Before it starts snowing, I figured I should get out and take some macro shots. I am amazed at how much easier it is to get an in-focus macro photo with a flash. I was using between f18 - f22 on all of these shots, and I didn't edit them very much besides some small adjustments and cropping.

I made a diy softbox for use with my macro lens and flash last year but never used it. I looked for the YouTube video that I got the idea from, but couldn't find it. This video has people using the same type of thing though. The softbox is almost parallel to the ground instead of being parallel with the lens. Here is the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WG37YvAJog0

  1. Those bee shots are amazing. Incredible detail and sharp focus.
