Bell Tower

I learned a good trick to save my eye while looking into the sun. Stop down the f-stop to f-32 (f-22 if that is as small as the lens will go) and press the depth of field preview button while looking through the viewfinder and point the camera at the sun. With the small f-stop the sun is at least not as painful to look at. I kept my sunglasses on as well.
Another benefit of a small f-stop is that you get the cool sun streaks.
I realized how dirty the sensor on the camera was with this photo. I had all kinds of spots that I had to take out.
